Rice is the boss at Tunnel - 04/05/2008

Tunnel Barn Farm fishery manager Pete Rice trounced the opposition in the sixth PartyPoker.com Fish ‘O’ Mania qualifier.
Pete knows every peg on the Warwickshire complex and really fancied his chances as soon as he pulled out corner Peg 1 on Canal Pool.
“I’ve been fishing pellets the last few weeks so that’s all I brought to my peg at first,” Pete told Match Fishing. “As soon as I saw the wind was blowing towards me and there were fish moving everywhere, though, I quickly went back to the shop and got a load of maggots!
“I’ve had 141 carp and caught almost all of them shallow just four metres out. The peg got stronger and stronger as the match went on. I had 38 fish in the fourth hour and 40 in the last hour and got through four pints of Scopex flavoured bronze maggots.”
Ian Dixon was the nearest rival but none of the trailing pack got anywhere near Pete’s staggering 195lb 6oz weight!
