Paul drew peg 36 on the road side and fished the pole and paste down both margins a gamble that paid off landing 25 carp – 7lb steady all match finishing with a winning weight of 115lb 7oz a long way in front of regular framer Norman Powers, drawn at 26 he fished a small pellet method cast to the lily’s and the pole and pellet landing 21 carp – 5lb for a respectable 4 hour weight of 78lb 4oz.

Ian fished the pellet wagler and pellet up in the water casting to the small island at peg 17 catching steady for most of the match he had an hectic last hour landing 70lb 5oz of carp – 4lb. 2nd place Nigel watched his lead disappear having a blank last hour he landed 10 carp – 9lb on the pole and paste fished sort at 6m.

Fred fished popped up bread cast to the weed beds in peg 40 landing 15 carp – 10lb winning by nearly 10lb with 71lb 10oz. 2nd and 3rd places were decided on carp Dave landing two and Lee one, and both weighing in over 51lb of Ide – 1lb Dave fishing the pole and worm and Lee on the pole and caster.
