Long Term Test: Le Chameau Deltanord Waders - 02/07/2009

There is nothing worse, in my opinion, than fishing with cold feet and, being an angler who mainly fishes competitions on rivers, it’s a problem that I’ve had to endure many times in the past with standard waders.

Then I discovered neoprene-lined versions and my days of standing in a river with cold feet became a thing of the past!

Over the years I’ve tried several different types of neoprene-lined waders but without doubt these are the best I’ve used. They’re lined all the way from the top down to the toe so your feet and your legs are protected from cold water.

At just over £100 for a pair some anglers might consider them to be expensive compared to some of the cheaper offerings you can now buy but, if you want the best, these are the ones you should look at. Not only are they comfortable to wear for walking and actually fishing in, they also last several years as they’re constructed from pure rubber.

With the new river season getting underway this month, do yourself a favour and buy a pair of these if you intend to spend time on rivers or stillwaters where you need to actually get in the water. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
