Up Close: Milo Premiership Feeder Rods - 25/02/2010
Endorsed by England international Steve Gardener, these rods offer the user excellent performance at an affordable price.
There are four feeder rods in the family, namely two 11ft models and two 12ft models – both in medium and medium/heavy. They will suit any type of feeder fishing, from small casts on commercials with light tackle to long chucks with heavy tackle, providing you choose the correct model. Each of the rods has a parabolic action and bends through to the butt section, providing ample power yet retaining sensitivity and a virtually perfect playing action.
We particularly like the 11ft medium rod as it has a wide variety of uses. It is soft enough for small carp and F1s yet powerful enough to be used for bigger carp during the colder months.
It could also double up as a bream/skimmer rod when you’re not casting too far but require a soft action to reduce hook-pulls.The main two sections of the rod are the same length and each rod comes with two carbon tips of differing strengths. The handles are fairly short and have a moulded section to make gripping them even better. These rods cost between £59.99 and £69.99, putting them well within reach of many anglers and with a quality not seen at this price before.
Verdict: Absolutely fantastic value for money – these are very good rods!
