It's the titanic battle we've all been eagerly awaiting. Darren Davies takes on Grant Albutt in the contest to become the 2008 Match Fishing Cup Champion.
Day 1 saw them fish Docklow Pools' Moby Dick Lake, which is arguably the finest commercial silver-fish lake in the country. This time last year the top weight was 59lb of roach and this year we were praying for another silver-fish bonanza and, boy, we weren't disappointed! After five hours of non-stop fish-catching action our two finalists, Darren Davies and Grant Albutt, had both caught around 70lb of fish apiece, with just a few pounds separating them!
