Under 18s fish hard to bring home medal from World Championship competition.
England’s under 18s International Squad have done their country proud, bringing home a silver medal from this year’s World Youth Angling Championships in Slovenia.
Fishing the river Sava the team was only beaten by Slovakia, the England lads posting a 36 point score to the Slovakian’s 31 over two-days of angling.
Individually the Sensas England Team were also in the medals, the squad’s Luke Wrzoselk coming third, being beaten on weight by first and third after the top three anglers posted a perfect 2point score.
“‘The individual result could not have been closer with three anglers posting a perfect 2 section wins and the result being determined on weight,” said Sensas U18s England Team Manager Steve Sanders. “Luke was so unlucky to lose out in such a way, but the whole week went well for the team and I’m very pleased with our overall performance.”
