Hayfield Lakes has long been known for its fantastic carp fishing, yet when the winter weather sets in, the silverfish sport is pretty special too!
This season, Hayfield lakes have co-ordinated a series of matches to run over the winter period that suit both silver fish and carp anglers alike.
November and December will see open matches where silver fish only will count. Last year catches in excess of 30lb were possible, and with a healthy payout the venues is expecting good attendances again this year.
The New Year will see a new ‘any method’ pairs series created, where pairs will take part in a series of matches decided on section points. Small sections will keep the league tight until the end of the campaign, with carp and silver fish allowed, so anglers will have to make the right choices to come out on top.
Venue manager, Dave Taylor has co-ordinated the event with the pairs series on the local Stainforth and Keaby Canal, and all the dates have been designed to provide great winter matches for anglers interested in a variety of methods.
All matches will carry £25 pools and a £50 entry per pair, paid out in full at the end of the league. The league will be capped to ensure good fishing, so anglers are encouraged to book in with Dave on 07816832551 or enquire online at www.hayfieldlakes.co.uk
