England man Steve Ringer takes Silver behind 20-year-old Ukrainian winner.
Steve Ringer has pulled off a sensational second day performance to bring home an individual silver medal in the World Feeder Champs.
After taking a second in section yesterday, Ringer was pushed hard by the Russian today but hung on to net 6.831kg of fish today taking his total for the event to 13.388kg.
The only man to beat him was 20-year-old Oleskii Strashnyi of the Ukraine who put in the performance of his life to take two section wins and weigh-in a total of 19.825kg over the two days.
Elsewhere in the competition England team members fished hard but found the going tough with captain Tommy Pickering the only other angler to place in the top 30 after coming thirteenth with a total of 5.492kg after taking third in section yesterday and fifth today.
