Buckinghamshire bagging water Alders Farm lived up to its big weight reputation this weekend after its latest open saw the winner smash the double ton.
Despite the subzero overnight temperatures, Barry Mason still managed to weigh in a staggering 203lb 12oz of carp after drawing peg 28. With the following four anglers each weighed in over 100lb at the end of the sell out competition.
Ringers Baits-backed winner Barry caught all of his fish on bread fished on the bomb, beating the second best weight of the day by an impressive 75lb, as well as setting the best weight of the venue so far this year.
Although having to settle for second spot, runner up Josh Blavins also put together an impressive winter weight of 128lb 7oz, the Got Baits angler catching on maggot feeder.
