2011 champ Jason Le Bosquet will be back to defend his title.
Top venue to hold open competition in aid of worthy cause.
A popular midlands venue has announced it is to hold an open match to raise much-needed funds for a very good cause.
Worcestershire’s Manor Farm Leisure Complex is to stage the competition this May to raise money to help local girl Niamh Curry who suffers from a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer, Neuroblastoma.
Five-year-old Niamh needs to go to America for life saving treatment which will cost in excess of £450,000 – something organisers of the match are hoping to help with.
Already the event is being supported by tackle giant Shakespeare and a local independent tackle shop who have donated prizes for the competition. However, organisers are looking for more help, with anyone interested being asked to contact Greg Bruner on 07833 165475.
Taking place on May 5, the match will be drawn at 9.30 am with fishing taking place between 11am and 4pm. Entry is £20 per angler with prizes for first, second and third places.
