Midlands matchman will be 'sorely missed' following untimely death.
Midlands match anglers are mourning the death of a much-loved figure following the recent passing of angler Steve Yeomans.
Best known for his skill on canals, Steve fished the open circuit in and around the midlands for a number of years, including under Mark Downes as a member of the Starlets team in the nineties.
“Steve was a great lad who was always the life and soul of the party,” Mark told Match Fishing. “He was a particularly good angler on small canals and a great addition to any team. He will be sorely missed.”
Steve passed away at the age of just 46, leaving a wife and two children.
