Round two of the Barston Masters has seen a second group of anglers go through to the competition’s grand final.
Sponsored by Greys and Bag ‘em Matchbaits the latest event saw peg 12 on the Midland venue's river bank produce the good, the spot giving Darren Sanders the win on the day after fishing method feeder at range gave him a carp bag for 82lb.
Behind Darren to take second place was Gregg Norris who also fished the river bank side of the lake for peg 17. As with the winner, Gregg employed the method feeder to target the carp and ending up with a total of 57lb at the weigh in.
The other side of the lake produced the third placed angler, with Neil Careless weighing in 38lb from the road banks peg 123.
Section winners on the day booked themselves into the grand final, although as Gregg Norris and James Hipkiss have already qualified for the final, the send placed anglers in their sections will go through instead, Billy Harris with 33lb 10oz and Dave Kightley with 33lb 9oz.
