Angling Trust and British Waterways Stillwater Championships 1st qualifier at Boddington Reservoir 23rd June 2012
This weekend saw Northamptonshire’s Boddington Reservoir play host to the first Angling Trust and British Waterways Stillwater Championship qualifier match of 2012.
A total of 70 anglers descended on the venue near Byfield but it was Birmingham-based rod Chris Hill (Hookbait Solutions) who came out on top with a winning weight of 42.300kg from peg 88 on section F.
Chris caught 12 carp on the method at long range and a single fish at 70yards on the pellet waggler.
Elsewhere a variety of tactics accounted for fish caught mainly on the long range method with either discs of bread or boilie on the hook.
In second place was Maurice Williams (Sensas Chiltern Baits) from Southam, Warwickshire on peg 63, section C with 32.850kg and in third place was Steve Mayo (Maver) from Bristol with 30.750kg on peg 86 section F.
