Last of the northern qualifiers sees Gilders Manchester man go through.
The last of the northern Maver Match This qualifiers has seen Gilders Manchester angler Howard Kelly win his place in the Larford final.
Held at The Oaks Lakes, Sessay near Thirsk, 49 anglers battled it out.
Drawing peg 26 on Cedar lake, Howard started the match fishing across to the island in just two feet of water using meat before changing to 6mm banded pellet fished shallow taking F1s to 2lb with the odd carp and Ide. By the end of the match he weighed in a winning total of 85-01-00 which also sees him qualify for the Maver British Pole Championships in August.
Sean Cameron (Garbolino / Marukyu) finished 5lb behind to take second place. Sean drew peg 4 on Beech fishing paste at 13m to catch carp to 3lb for a total of 80-06-00.
Third place was taken by Middy-backed Chris Kendal, who drew peg 8 on Beech lake. Chris fished paste down the edge on his top two plus two, catching fish up to 2lbs.
Garbolino Elton's John Chapman took fourth place with 70-00-00 from peg 22 on Cedar lake.
