Barlow on the Bream

England man already finding the fish an hour into Day One of the World Feeder Champs.

England's Dean Barlow is already catching well as he finds the bream on Ghent's Water Sports Centre over in Belgium.

Dean drew D Section earlier this morning and is drawing big crowds of spectators along with his fellow Preston Innovation England team mates.

Speaking to Match Fishing, England youth, disabled and veteran's manager Joe Roberts is not surprised England are already in to the fish at a venue that suits their angling.

"The team are really looking focused and the Water Sports Centre is a fantastic venue that should suit England's approach well," said Joe. "I know the venue very well through competition with the Youth and Veterans World Champs. This is where Callum Dicks took individual gold in 2008 and I'm hopeful there could be more medals for England by the end of the weekend."

Preston Innovation-backed angler Ed Warren has made the trip to Belgium to support England and is impressed by the number of fans that have done the same.

"It's great to see such support for the lads on the bank," he told Match Fishing. "Of all the nations competing we've got the most spectators and the England lads certainly seem to be drawing the crowds.

"There's no denying that the other nations cannot be dismissed, but England has certainly put in the effort for 2012 and look like a force to be reckoned with!"
