Impulse is an Amino Acid Feeding Stimulant formulated to attract more fish into your swim and help you catch more, using multiple amino acids. It has been shown to stimulate an enhanced feeding response among a broad range of species, including carp, in tank tests, during field trials, and in competition. Our own Alex Bones tried it our recently in the March issue of Match Fishing with some interesting results and will be trying it again soon.

BioSource claims Impulse Liquid is the most effective amino acid based fish attractant available on the market today – as shown in independent research conducted at Sparsholt College, the UK’s premier aquaculture and fisheries research institute – and has been designed to provide an optimal level stimulation, so as long as the minimum required dose (or greater) is applied. Impulse is available in Liquid, Paste and Gel in four different flavours – Original, Sweet Cream, Fruit and Fish – and the latest release, Pellets.

Impulse Liquid – stimulates the feeding response, prompting fish to feed, and is food-grade quality, so even large quantities won’t harm aquatic (or human) life. It can be used on baits including pellets, either as a surface treatment for hard feed pellets or soaked/pumped expander pellets, or in groundbaits added to the water used to wet the mix.

Impulse Paste – creates a stimulatory feeding zone around the bait, both increasing the number of takes and bringing more fish into the swim. In studies from Sparsholt College, Impulse better than doubled catch rates, and is available as a slow-release, workable, and high-attraction paste.

Impulse Paste comes in the same four flavours as the Liquid.

Impulse Gel – can give your favourite bait a cost-effective edge – its sticky-sweet formulation sticks to your bait like glue, slowly leaking its blend of amino acids into the swim, creating a stimulatory feeding zone around the bait, both increasing the number of takes and bringing more fish into the swim. It has a slightly thinner consistency than other gels and is designed for use with smaller amounts of bait such as PVA bags or Method feeders.

Impulse Pellets – especially for match anglers, these new pellets are infused with Impulse’s blend of amino acids; simply soak for a couple of minutes to prepare then best fed little and often or using a Method or Hybrid feeder, or can be combined with standard pellets or groundbait where larger quantities of bait are required.
