This new QT8 Quadtronic range of rods boasts loads of features and performance and there are three models in the range – a 10ft Pellet Waggler, an 8ft Mini Feeder and a 10ft Method Feeder model. These should cover everything most anglers will need on today’s average commercial venues where a rod approach scores.

The 10ft Pellet Waggler model has plenty of power through the middle, which is exactly the way FEVA has designed it to be. As commercial carp are getting bigger and bigger, so your rods and general tackle to cope needs to reflect that. The rod’s blank allows for accurate casting and because it has the power it is nice and responsive, which will help your casting and line pick-up, yet it still boasts a through action thanks to the multi layers of carbon that are angled in a certain way to deliver the right balance of power and fish-playing action. This waggler rod in particular is going to be ideal for big weights and venues where you need that extra power in the blank to get fish under control, while the two feeder rods come in two different models. For short work and small Method feeders the 8ft Mini Feeder is the go-to model in the range (check out Mark Richardson’s mud-line feature in the September issue of Match Fishing). It comes supplied with two interchangeable tips and will suit bomb and short Method feeder work where you’re catching big fish and/or big weights, with recommended casting weights from 7g to 45g.

The 10ft Method Feeder rod is the longest feeder rod currently available from the brand and is the one if you’re looking to fish that bit further. It’s a super-versatile tool that will cover you for most commercial fishing situations and comes supplied with three interchangeable tips. It’ll be great for traditional feeders as well as Methods and carries recommended casting weights from 20g to 60g!
