Catch the February issue of Match Fishing

The February edition of Match Fishing magazine could have aptly been titled “The Ice Issue”, as indeed ice was a very real issue when it came to shooting features!
Cover star Darren Cox managed to avoid it though, when he fished the waggler on the Warwickshire Avon to catch some lovely river roach, with more moving-water content from Rob Perkins on the Old Nene and Josh Newman on the River Welland.
Soldiering on through the cold and often faced with lakes with lids on, we have plenty of ice fishing content from our hardy anglers, including Adam Richards, David Fearnley, Kayleigh Dowd and Tom Scholey, while Michael Buchwalder managed to find a wobbly lake to demonstrate his winter tactics, so despite what Mother Nature threw at us we still have plenty for you to read.
There are also our regular diarists including Andy Power and Cam Hughes telling it like it is, team talk from Kye Jerrom, a veteran’s view from John Brooks and top tactical tips from Joe Carass, while Emma Pickering answers the Last Cast quick questions.
All this plus news of the dates and venues for our 2026 Match Fishing events, and the chance to win a whole range of Benwick Sports Silverlite Sliders. So, like our ice-breaking anglers did, get cracking!
