These are a product developed for one thing, but that are sure to have a whole range of uses!
Originally, they were designed for soaking pellets in, as they allow you to lift out and drain your pellets at whatever point you want. They fit neatly into the Guru bait tubs, and are available in two sizes. They’re not only perfect for soaking pellets, however, as they make the ideal tub for storing and draining any baits that you keep in water, allowing you to quickly lift off the strainer to remove the bait from the water, before bagging it up for the next session.
You can use the strainers at home or on the bank, and another perfect use for them is when using meat, to soak the meat in water – preferably warm water – to strain and take off the fats that cause much of it to float and drift away in any tow.
Commercial masters Andy Bennett and Paul Holland have signed a new bait sponsorship deal with the Angling Bait Company.
The duo, who are also sponsored by Tackle Guru, are very excited about the move.
Andy said: “I amdelighted to be joining TheAngling Bait Company. I am looking forward to having a big say in the groundbait development, and knowing exactly what I’ll befeeding, as not a lot of people know what core ingredients make up the groundbaits that they use.
•Improved breaking strain
•Added stiffness for improved float control
•Abrasion resistant

Matt Godfrey smashed his way to victory in the penultimate round of the Lindholme Natural Baits League, winning the match in emphatic style with a 43-4-0 net of F1s. Drawn on peg 9 on Willows Lake, Matt caught quality F1s on maggot tactics.
In second place was Paul Christie. Paul, who also drew on Willows, again caught quality F1s on maggots for 26-1-0.
Simply Sublime!Tom Scholey gets on the bank with Maver’s latest range of bolo rods, and is left very impressed.
My day out with these rods has got to be one of the most enjoyable day’s tackle testing I have had in a very long time. There is something mesmerising about easing a float through on a pacey river, holding it back and then watching it disappear under the surface! This effect is enhanced, of course, if you are using a sublime piece of tackle, like Maver’s new Superlithium Green Power bolognese rod, to aid you in your quest! I have been lucky enough to visit the Reglass factory in Bologna, Italy, where these rods are manufactured – and having seen the processes used to make them I knew they would be quality.
In fact, bolognese rods are one area where quality tackle is probably more important than in many other areas, because you have to hold them for long periods as you are fishing to achieve good presentation.
