The Preston Innovations Absolute XS is the latest in a long line of GiS poles. These have long been used by some of the biggest names in the sport and when Des Shipp tells you that is it the best pole he has ever used, you have to take notice!
For those of you who don’t know, the previous two flagship poles from Preston received rave reviews by our team. I use them and cannot rate them highly enough. However, technology advances, and the Absolute XS is the result of that.
Performance wise, this pole is up there with the very best. It is super-stiff, as you would expect from a pole in this price point. I would say that it is considerably stiffer than the One XS that I currently use and a fair bit lighter thanks to its improved balance.
The great thing about these poles is that they are great all-rounders. You could literally use them for everything and they won’t let you down.
Reinforcements: The key areas on the butt sections have received an extra-reinforced area to prevent breakages on the strike. These also help to reduce wear on the sections.

A Short 4th section
A Kup Kit and Kups
A GiS 10-tube holdall
