We recently went to the iceTackle* Trade Show at Barston where MAP had some interesting new items to add to its line-up of products for match anglers. We’ve shown a few here and we hope to cover and test them all in depth in future issues, but for now just look and love…

TKS G10, G20, G30, G40, & G50 Poles

PARABOLIX ULTRA II 10FT & 11FT ULTRA LIGHT FEEDER RODS
Manufactured using ultra-high Nano Carbon, the 10ft Ultra 11 Ultralight feeder has been designed for silver fishing, or F1 winter fishing. Incredibly slim, and softer in action than the Parabolix Pro version, this rod offers an incredibly super-soft through action, yet with enough backbone to cast a feeder where you want it. Ideal for fishing up to 30 metres and perfect for roach and skimmers.

PARABOLIX B/E PRO DISTANCE RODS
Produced on a unique mandrel, designed with a fast taper these are the perfect rods for big waters and extreme conditions when you need to hit a target at distance. Capable of casting feeders extreme distances with ease, they feature large American Tackle oversized guides that aid distance casting, and also aid the use of shockleaders.

Even though there is a lot of power in the lower sections, the fish playing action eliminates the hook-pulls that some distance rods cause when the fish is close to the net. There three models in the range – 3.6m, 3.9m and 4.2m – cover all venues and situations.

Ultra-slim with an incredible through action that is ideal for small carp and F1s as well as fishing for silvers on natural waters. PARABOLIX PRO B/E 4M LANDING NET HANDLE
This 4m landing net handle is incredibly strong and robust and has been designed for catching big weights. Incorporates a grip on the base of the handle that prevents your hands slipping when wet, and offers a solid grip when landing fish. The handle can be used at two different lengths – 2.8m or 4m – thanks to a nickel coated brass thread on two of the sections.

PARABOLIX ULTRA II 4M LANDING NET HANDLE
At the price this definitely won’t be for everyone, but is one of the strongest and thinnest landing net handles on the market. Using the same graphene resins as used in the new TKS poles, this 4m handle is simply incredible. Super-rigid and responsive with a diameter of less than 27mm at the base.
