Radcliffe –on-Trent ASJansons Fishery September 418 fishedRadcliffe-on-Trent Angling Society had a lot to celebrate in their latest match. The tope five placed anglers out of a field of 18 topped the ton with the club record being smashed by winning angler John Urruty with a weight of 149lb 12oz. Held at Jansons Fishery, Nottinghamshire, John won the match fishing maggot close in either side on his top two sections with fish averaging just 2lb each.

Perry Delgarno Charity Memorial Match River Severn at Shrewsbury, County ground and quarry sections 36 anglersA total of 36 of Perry’sfriends lined the banks of the Severn to honor such a great loss to the match scene. In doing so the anglers raised £260, all of which will go to the Severn hospice in Shrewsbury where Perry spent his final weeks. Fishing wise, a record low river level for this time of year reflected in the results.
