Ilminster AA members fished round three of the V.E.S. Precision winter league on the Isle on Sunday. Despite lots of rain in the week, the river was still pretty low and clear, especially the top end. The bottom end fished well with Justin Charles coming out on top with 9lb 7oz of dace and chublets from peg 120. Not far behind was Steve Parker who had three nice chub for 9lb 1oz from peg 106. Martin Heard took third place with 5lb 13oz from peg 14. After three matches and dropping the worst result Pete Lonton and Martin Heard lead the league with three points followed by Jamie Rich, Justin Charles and Robin Cox who all have four.
There is a Royal Oak match next week and the draw is at the pub between 8:30 and 9:00.
