There was a tinge of colour in the Isle for round two of the V.E.S. Precision winter league on Sunday. The expected big weights didn't materialise but there were still some decent nets of fish.

Leighton Cox who was fishing his first match for a while drew peg 85 and caught small fish steadily all day to win with 8lb 8oz from peg 85. Pete Lonton continued his good form to take second place with a similar net of roach, chublets and dace weighing 8lb 2oz from peg 120. Rob Cox was third with two chub plus bits weighing 6lb 9oz from peg 124. Graham Field won the top section with 5lb 12oz from peg 108 and Martin Heard won the other section with one chub and some roach for 5lb 7oz from peg 125a.

The next V.E.S. match is on November 13th and the draw is at the pub between 8:30 and 9:00.
