Report:
Torrential rain around Sydney and most of the State saw rivers reach near record high levels the days previously to the 8th round of the NSW SCAC league. With severe flooding in many areas and some bridges and roads closed 17 anglers turned out for this match. The venue itself was at its highest level for many years but the conditions on the day turned out hot and sunny. A strong gusty wind made it tough for those fishing the pole at times during the match.

Dara Finnegan had his drawing arm working once again and drew the newly cut out end peg on the shallow weedy end of the lake, next to the end peg he won the last match off. He started off well getting a few fish on the method feeder but was losing just as many in the weed beds on the way in. Switching between the method and pole , plus having a good run on the pole in the last hour he managed another league win today with 33kgs. Howard Hill continued his run of top 3 placing places in the match coming in second with 25kgs just finishing above 3rd place Ivan Mitchell with 23 kg.

With only 3 matches now remaining it is all level on the top of the table with league leader Steve Scott and Dara now tied on points. Steve leads by half a kg on weight difference. Ivan Mitchell is in 3rd place and only 6 points behind.

Top 5 anglers and weights:
