Nsw Carc League Round 5

NSWCARC League round 5 Result...

Sydney, Australia | 20th May 2012
Number of pegs/anglers: 12

Report: The 3rd and 4th rounds of the NSW CARC LEAGUE were fish in conjunction with the Wyman Valley open recently on the Sat and Sun matches. The venue itself turned out to be very peggy as the cold weather seemed to keep the fish in certain pegs and didn’t want to move around. A good weekend was had by all that travelled to fish the 3 day event. The winner on day 1 was Ivan Mitchell with 50 kgs, 2nd Mark Jones with 29 kgs and third Richard Brown with 21 kgs.

Day 2 winner was Dara Finnegan with 84 kgs, 2nd was Mark York with 32 kgs and 3rd was Mark Jones with 9 kgs

The 5th round of the NSW CARC league was held last Sunday on the club’s Wilberforce Lake. Once again cold overnight temperatures slowed the fishing down along with low water levels on the venue. Despite the slow fishing it was still another close match with only a fish or two separating most of the places. Dara took a few fish on the feeder in the first hour before switching to the pole and pellet to win today’s match with 25 kg. Mark York continued his good form and had another 2nd place today with 13.5 kg on the pole and Howard Hill stuck to his trusty waggler rod for the match to finish 3rd only 175 grams behind Mark York. The golden peg for the next match now stands at $112

The league at this stage is almost as close as last year with Dara and Ivan once again tied on points followed closely by Mark York, Howard and Mark Jones.
