Report: The final match of the league started once again with cool temps but most were expecting a few fish to show today after the feed going into the venue from yesterday’s match. On the league placing’s Steve Scott was leading by Dara Finnegan by 1 point and both were closely followed by Ivan Mitchell only a few points behind. To make it even closer today Dara and Ivan both had ended up in the overall knock out cup final today and amazing all 3 anglers drew in a line also on the section on pegs 14,15 and 16.
It was a close match all round in the end with the top 8 weights all between 26 and 20 kgs. The other section however produced the top weights with Ralph Czichon fishing the feeder for 26 kgs. Mark Jones was 2nd with 25 kgs on the pole and Dara Finnegan managed 3rd with 24kgs and took the overall league place by 3 points. He also won the double this year and defeated Ivan Mitchell in the knock out cup for 2012 in today’s match. The winter league starts here next month
