Both colour and pace greeted the 72 anglers fishing Sundays Wychavon qualifier, after storms in the night brought lots of extra water into the river.

Colin Wilkins made the most of a good draw, banking 8-5-0 of silver bream to take victory. Colin alternated between the waggler, and fishing maggots over groundbait on a short pole line to keep fish coming throughout the day.
Second on the day was Maver Midlands rod, Dave White who drew peg two on the Town Length. Dave caught on the long pole over groundbait, alternating between maggots and pinkies on the hook to keep fish coming.

Cameron Hughes took third spot, from Peg 14. He caught some chunky perch on maggot feeder, and when bites petered out he got his head down and targeted bleak. He ended up with 100 bleak plus his perch for a 5-11-0 finish.
