Results

Tough going on the third round of the Sensas Commercial House League.


With the river still being very clear and slow flowing most anglers really struggled for bites with only 7 weights over 5 lbs.  There were even blanks recorded.

Dave Haines won the match for BTM services from peg 77.  He started on the waggler and maggot at 6ft deep and had 2 chub of 1 lb each.  After this he fished a tiny maggot feeder tight over against the trees and caught another chub.  Sticking on this method he was surprised to then catch 3 bream and lots of skimmers for a total weight of 30 lbs.  The bream and skimmers were caught on a variety of hookbaits but mainly worm!

2nd was Andy Britt drawn 2 below Newton St Loe bridge.  He balled in groudbait on the pole line and had around 2 1/2 lbs of roach and perch.  He then switched to a lighter float with maggot on the hook and caught 15 skimmers over the same line for a weight of 26 lbs 9 ozs

3rd was Andy Ottaway who was on peg 67.  He caught roach and perch on the pole over groundbait before taking 3 bream on the feeder for 17 lbs 5 ozs.
