Due to the strong wind on the day, winner Lee Parker opted to fish the pole and corn down both margins over ground bait – and it paid off. Fishing this way Lee landed 18 carp to 11lb for a total of 97lb 1oz. Second placed was tackle dealer Geoff Mawby who fished pellet feeder and pellet cast to the island, switching late in the match to worm over ground bait down the margin to land 20 carp up to 10lb.
