Valley School from Worksop won the Angling Trust Daiwa Schools National Championship title for the fourth consecutive year running with a total of 107 points in the team classification. The team consisted of; Liam Ainsworth, Lewis Robinson, Robbie Moore, Dean Northage and Oliver Hipkiss. This is an incredible achievement for Valley to retain the gold medal for the last four years. In silver medal position was Carlton Community College from Barnsley with 89 points.
Nine teams of 5 entered this annual challenge, providing a strong field for the RAF Mosella team to finish off their Division one practice week. Local lads, Sensas North read the conditions perfectly and took the team trophy with 15 points. Although they were pushed all the way by the RAF Team Mosella Red team, who finished only a point behind, relegating the mighty Ultimate Barnsley Blacks into 3rd position.

Chard AC members fished the penultimate round of the Spring League in glorious conditions at Perry St Pond on Sunday. Perry St Pond, Somerset. 20 fished. The top weights were excellent and the top two in the league took the top two spots on the day.
The long haul to the final of the prestigious Maver Classic 2011 took place on Sunday 1st and Monday 2nd May 2011. In all over 60 qualifier matches commencing in October 2010 and finishing in late April 2011 took place. 104 finalists took part at Larford’s Match, Arena and Specimen lakes. Conditions were however far from perfect with a severe northerly wind making conditions near impossible for pole and float fishing.
