Report: Two in a row for Walton - Twenty two Exeter members fished seventh round of the Victoria Products League at KiaOra Gold Pond. The recent dip in temperature and amount of anglers fishing meant the back water pegs were favourite before the draw. On the day only peg one produced with Graham Davie landing 8 and losing 6; all caught on expander pellet. His total catch of 18k 330g was easily enough to take 10 league points and £80 for winning the match. Runner up was Wayne Mitchell from unfavoured peg 19, he landed four large carp from his margins for a total of 11k 700g to take the £60 runner up prize.

His ten league points pushed him to the top of the leaderboard on weight with five matches to go. Third on the day fell to the ever consistent peg 21 - both peg 22 and 21 were hooking carp off of the floating island but Brian Sussex had a nightmare losing all 10 that he hooked. It was Andy Bulled who landed his fish that took the 3rd ! prize of £35 with a weight of 9k 250g.
