June 14thand 15th saw the European Feeder Championships take place on the Gent to Terneuzen Canal in Holland. In an effort to equal their previous best, three teams from England entered the two-day 23-team, 115 angler European Feeder Challenge. Held on the Gent to Terneuzen Canal, Holland, they returned with respectable overall team positions – second, fourth and fifth along with a collection of individual silverware, too.
While they all missed out on team gold this year to Belgium team – Mega Fish T – it was Team GURU, partially consisting of full international team members Steve Ringer, Phil Ringer and Dean Barlow along with Feeder International fringe anglers Rob Wootton and Adam Rooney completing the five-man strong outfit, who took the second team spot with 61 points behind Mega Fish T’s tally of 52.

Joe Carass explains why he believes the Guru Pellet Waggler hook is the ultimate choice for rod-and-line tactics!Hook choice is a constant source of confusion for me. I like certain patterns of hooks for pole fishing and use them a lot – the Kamasan B911 and Drennan Silverfish Pellet spring immediately to mind. But when it comes to eyed hooks for rod-and-line fishing, I must admit to being a bit of a chopper and changer. The Guru QM1 has long been my favourite hook pattern for any kind of legering for carp, as once a carp is hooked with this piece of steel they rarely come off! There are times, though, when I have felt that they were just not quite right.
