A very cold start and sunny flat calm for the rest of the day, but on days like this peg 20 in the shallow bay is the place to be, Will Creswell drew it and fished the method feeder and maggot cast tight into the corner landing 10 carp – 7lb. In 2nd place beating of the rest with 39lb 11oz John Darby fished the pole and meat for carp – 6lb

The early pegs were the place to be on the final round of the Winter league, way out in front was Russ Brookes with a superb 30-06 net of mainly skimmers all taken on short pole and pellet at peg 2. In second place was Roy Butterfield who found some quality skimmers on maggot at 3 metres.
The overall final league standings went to the wire again with the ever consistent Wayne Haywood (Mansfield Angling) coming out a deserved winner taking the title by a single point from last years winner Ian Boyd (Woodhouse Angling Centre). Russ Brookes (Rivendell) finished with a flourish to claim 3rd place.
