Perry Delgarno Charity Memorial Match River Severn at Shrewsbury, County ground and quarry sections 36 anglersA total of 36 of Perry’sfriends lined the banks of the Severn to honor such a great loss to the match scene. In doing so the anglers raised £260, all of which will go to the Severn hospice in Shrewsbury where Perry spent his final weeks. Fishing wise, a record low river level for this time of year reflected in the results.

Mark Pollard and Derek Wilan cling on to lead. Early reports suggest that Mark Pollard and Derek Wilan have clung on to the lead going into the final day of the World Pairs Cup. Both weighed in respectable weights from where they drew, and with a 13 kilo lead from the previous day, many believe they have done enough to cling on to top spot. “The sections we are heading to on the last day aren’t great, and with the overall result being decided on weight we cant be sure what will happen, and the competition is still wide open” Mark commented.

Richard Pulford has won the first round of the Thorne Teams Of Three League, with a 17-15-0 net of quality roach and skimmers.
Drawn on peg 208, Rich enjoyed an early run of perch on bloodworm and small roach on bread, before turning his attention to a long pole swim, fed with casters. A procession of chunky roach, and skimmers came to his net – as well as a bonus 3lb bream for a total weight of 17-15-0.

Radcliffe –on-Trent ASJansons Fishery September 418 fishedRadcliffe-on-Trent Angling Society had a lot to celebrate in their latest match. The tope five placed anglers out of a field of 18 topped the ton with the club record being smashed by winning angler John Urruty with a weight of 149lb 12oz. Held at Jansons Fishery, Nottinghamshire, John won the match fishing maggot close in either side on his top two sections with fish averaging just 2lb each.
